Established in 1994 by David Priestley and Benedicta Ferraro, the gallery specialises in early Chinese art, which embraces all of Chinese art from its beginnings in the Neolithic period up to the early years of the Ming Dynasty. Within this broad field their main focus is on the ceramics of the late Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty and Jin Dynasty, both stoneware and porcelain, though they also buy and sell archaic bronzes and jades, Buddhist sculpture and other Chinese works of art such as lacquer and cloisonné enamel wares.
